Ormeau State School site visit 2015

On Thursday, 25th June 2015 Beenleigh Quarry hosted 120 Grade 5 students from Ormeau State School for a site visit and lesson on road safety.

Students participated in a classroom session on quarry and road safety, particularly around quarry trucks and other heavy road vehicles, followed by a tour of the quarry operations.

The standout out moment for most of the students was the opportunity to hop up into one of the road trucks. While fun, this experience also gave them a better understanding of a truck drivers perspective and most importantly how they can contribute to ensuring road safety for everyone.
