Graduate Development Program - Accelerate

Holcim believes that by identifying and investing in your potential, we can develop our future leaders. As a participant in our graduate program, you will actively contribute and engage with the business, learning industry best practice from key Holcim leaders and employees.

About the program

In Australia, the 12-month Accelerate program is split into three blocks; providing graduates 3 x four-month blocks of hands-on work experience in different focus areas of Operational, Technical, Business and Projects. This will be based in one of our three business units; Humes, Aggregates or Concrete, with locations in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia and South Australia.

Accelerate Your Career and Help Build Progress With Us

The Holcim Graduate Development Program is an opportunity to experience and learn about the Holcim Australia business within your allocated business unit.  The program provides the development of personal, professional, technical and divisional-specific skills required as an operational employee and future leader within Holcim.

The key aim of the program is to create operational leaders of the future.

Our 12-month program consists of immersing graduates into one business unit and tailoring a development plan to prepare graduates for a successful career with Holcim.

Moving across various sites, you will experience different places, people and functions in real jobs working on real sites. The program will see you work across multiple locations and may require you to travel to some of our regional sites.

Holcim builds progress for people and the planet. As a global leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions, we are enabling greener cities, smarter infrastructure and improving living standards around the world. With sustainability at the core of its strategy Holcim is becoming a net zero company, with its people and communities at the heart of its success.

“The graduate program has played a key role in my career development and personal growth by providing a broad range of experiences across all three different business units. It’s helped me build valuable skills in communication, leadership, project management, and problem-solving, while also deepening my understanding of all operations within the company. The exposure to both hands-on tasks and strategic planning has prepared me to take on more responsibility in the future.”

“The graduate program at Holcim has been an incredible opportunity for me as I begin my career in the building materials and construction industry after completing my engineering degree. My work in the concrete business has been rewarding, and the program’s structure has provided me with extensive knowledge. In my first six months, I had the chance to work in various roles across Sydney and greater NSW, significantly contributing to my personal and professional growth. I highly recommend Holcim's graduate program to anyone considering it.”
