Holcim completes supply to Berrybank Wind Farm Stage 2

Holcim’s Major Projects team in Victoria have safely completed the supply of more than 14,000m3 of concrete to the Berrybank Wind Farm Stage 2 in the state’s south-west.

The team were recognised with a safety award by project customer Vestas. Health and Safety is our overarching value and embedded in everything Holcim does.

The concrete using a recycled aggregate formed 26 wind turbine bases. When completed, the renewable energy project will deliver around 110MW of power - sufficient to power 82,000 homes.

The project is an important step in the Victorian Government’s Victorian Renewable Energy Targets (VRET). The targets are expected to be met by 2030, at which point 50 percent of the state’s energy will be generated from renewable resources.

Holcim builds progress for people and the planet. As a global leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions, Holcim is enabling greener and smarter infrastructure around the world.

Renewable energy around the world

Holcim is playing a key role in accelerating the transition to renewable energy around the world. We are partnering with GE Renewable Energy and COBOD to build taller, more powerful windmills with 3D Concrete Printing (3DCP) - with solutions already at work in the North Atlantic, off the coast of Brittany, France.
