Harriet Wilson set for One Young World

Graduate program alumni to represent Holcim Australia globally

Harriet Wilson is Quarry Manager at Gosnells, which has been supplying hard rock to Perth and the surrounding region since the 1930s.

Eight years ago Harriet Wilson started with us as a graduate. In November she’ll be in Cape Town representing Holcim at the One Young World Summit, alongside more than 2,200 young leaders from diverse backgrounds and industry sectors.

Today she manages Gosnells, our flagship quarry in Western Australia. The site produces hard rock for roads, ports and construction across the state, with a team of more than 30 on the ground.

The ANZ graduate program was a great foundation for me to learn. Direct involvement in site operations from day one provided the essential framework to step up and successfully lead in a rapidly evolving industry.

That is not a career path I would have predicted for myself, and it happened because Holcim provided every opportunity for development and success.

A global stage for young leaders

The One Young World Summit unites young leaders from more than 190 countries and 250 organisations to accelerate social impact, youth empowerment, and innovation. The 2026 agenda covers food security, the future of work under AI, gender-based violence, peace and security, and the future of Africa. For a global business building the infrastructure those futures depend on, the summit allows Harriet to contribute to the conversations shaping the next generation.

Holcim has been involved with One Young World since 2021 and Harriet follows in the footsteps of other former graduates representing our Australian business, globally.

Harriet’s path from graduate to Quarry Manager is a career path that our ANZ graduate program was built to support. We equip young people with the tools and learnings that set them up for success. The 12-month program creates ownership early, and genuine opportunity as they grow into their career.

We’re a global business, and the opportunities we offer our people reflect that. One Young World is just one way we invest in our peoples’ careers.
