Holcim Opens Upgraded Albany Concrete Plant
Major investment strengthens supply for the Great Southern region
Holcim has officially opened its upgraded ready-mix concrete plant in Albany, Western Australia, marking a significant step forward for local operations and long-term support for the Great Southern region.
Holcim has proudly operated in Albany for almost 60 years. The redevelopment represents a major investment in modern infrastructure to help meet growing demand from local builders, civil contractors and regional infrastructure projects — backed by reliable, high-quality concrete supply.
The upgraded facility includes a new batching plant, improved site layout and advanced environmental management systems, designed to meet current operational standards and support long-term performance.
Modern facility, built for long-term service
The plant upgrade improves efficiency, enhances site safety and supports consistent product quality — strengthening Holcim’s ability to service customers across the region.
Artwork reflecting connection to Country
A feature of the upgraded site is the striking artwork installed on the front of the plant: an original piece commissioned by Holcim, created by Wiradjuri artist Nanii Davis and titled “The Story of the Land”.
As an organisation committed to Reconciliation, Holcim recognises the importance of reflecting the community in which it operates and connection to Country.
