Holcim Deepens Community Impact Through Partnership with Habitat for Humanity
Supporting affordable housing, women’s construction training, and community builds through a strengthened national partnership
Holcim’s partnership with Habitat for Humanity is supporting communities across Australia, from contributing to affordable housing in Victoria to helping women build careers in construction. Recent activities highlight the strength of this relationship and the shared commitment to creating safer, more inclusive places to live.
Supporting Affordable Housing at Crib Point, Victoria
Members of the Holcim team recently attended the opening of the Crib Point housing development on Mornington Peninsula. This development will deliver six affordable three-bedroom homes and is the first Habitat for Humanity Victoria project built under their new development model.
Under this model, the sale of two homes helps fund the remaining four, making the approach more sustainable and self-sufficient. Three partner families have already moved in, with final works underway on the remaining homes.
Holcim has supported the project by providing construction materials, contributing to the delivery of safe, affordable housing for families in need across Victoria. Crib Point follows other Habitat for Humanity builds, including projects in Drouin, Geelong, and Yea.

Celebrating Habitat Women Graduates, New South Wales
Holcim’s Steve Mossie and Josh Smith attended the graduation ceremony for the final Habitat Women cohort of the year. Habitat Women is the social enterprise of Habitat for Humanity Australia, helping women develop the skills and confidence to enter the building and construction industry.
Participants receive hands-on training in the Meadowbank and Newcastle workshops, on-site experience through the Days in Boots program, and ongoing career support and mentoring. Many graduates now work within Habitat Women, gaining real-world experience while helping improve housing for vulnerable community members.
More than 100 women have graduated since the program began, and Holcim’s support continues to help expand training opportunities and employment pathways.

Concrete Support for Community Projects in South Australia
In October, Holcim’s South Australia concrete team supplied materials for a new Habitat for Humanity build. This forms part of Holcim Australia’s $15,000 in-kind support for Habitat projects this year, helping to ensure essential community housing can be delivered safely and efficiently.
Habitat for Humanity’s home ownership program is a limited application-based program currently available in South Australia and Victoria. Successful partner families participate in the construction of their homes, contributing time and effort alongside volunteers and building professionals.
Guided by the belief that “everyone deserves a decent place to live”, Holcim and Habitat for Humanity volunteers work together on the South Australia community build.
A Partnership Built on Shared Values
Habitat for Humanity is a global movement dedicated to ensuring everyone has a safe and affordable place to call home. Since 1976, Habitat has supported more than 62 million people worldwide through home building, repairs, housing finance and advocacy.
Holcim Australia is proud to work alongside Habitat for Humanity to support stronger, fairer and more resilient communities. Through material donations, volunteer support and involvement in Habitat Women, Holcim is helping create opportunities that last.
